LughnassadhBooks.com is a virtual book store specializing in used and out-of-print titles. We are one of the few used booksellers on the net that publishes the system we use to grade the condition of used and old books. We strictly abide by our guidelines and guarantee the quality and value of your purchase accordingly.

Our goal is to carry as many titles as possible. And not just the classics, best sellers or most expensive books published. Here you will find a little of everything and we hope that you will find it reasonably priced too.

Our companion virtual store, DLS-Antiques, offers used and collectible housewares, decorative accessories, and other odds and ends.

LughnassadhBooks.com has been online since 1999, starting first on eBay as the user "dlsantiques" and then moving from eBay to our own servers and web domain in June of 2000 under the name of DLS-Antiques. In 2001, LughnassadhBooks.com was opened specifically as the book side of DLS-Antiques. By 2002 LughnassadhBooks.com had taken on a life of its own. LughnassadhBooks.com is a sole propriertorship owned and operated by Derek Stafford from his headquarters in the Catskill Mountains of Upstate New York.

I get a lot of questions about our name. LughnassadhBooks.com is named for the Druid harvest festival lughnassadh (pronounced loo-nah-sahd). The festival also honors the Celtic god Lugh, who presides over the harvest and knowledge — you could say he was the Druidic god of the farmers and the teachers. Since I grew up on a farm and I've always loved books, it fits me and my business perfectly. LughnassadhBooks.com is devoted to preserving the written word and cultivating the love of knowledge.
